I've always been wary of live-action adaptations of animated shows, because it's so easy to misfire. So when I was recently shown the trailer for a live-action Tetsujin 28 (aka Gigantor) I was less than enthused. Besides, after seeing the live-action Cutey Honey last year, it's clear the bar has been set higher.

Would love to know your opinions of the live-action Ace o Nerae, Taiho Shichau Zo!, and the ubiquitous Meteor Garden... (I won't even mention the mighty morphin sailor rangers). I'm glad I came across this blog. See you on CE-L.

Never seen them, alas. I was just speaking with Jim Omura yesterday (he wrote our Innocence review) about the Taiho Shichau Zo! anime yesterday, and I was thinking about how easy it would be to translate it to live-action.
