World Masterpiece Theater classics. The series, based on Lucy Maud Montgommery's book was first broadcast in 1979, and is still popular in Japan to this day. The 26th season of
World Masterpiece Theatre slated to start in April will adapt Budge Wilson's book
Before Green Gables as
Kon'nichiwa Anne 〜 Before Green Gables. It will cover Anne's life before she moves to Green Gables.
