It's going to be a while before Goro Miyazaki's Gedo Senki (Tales of Earthsea) comes to North America in all its controversial splendour, as the Sci-Fi Channel has the rights sewn up until 2009, thanks to their 2004 TV adaptation. So if you're really jonesing for it, check out the early July Japanese (Region 2) releases, all of which sport English subtitles. (If your existing DVD player can't handle Region 2 discs, we recommend the multi-format Philips DVP642).
